The Finger Lakes Allergy Society was established in 2002 as a non-profit organization of board certified allergists and immunologists in upstate New York founded for the purpose of advancing the practice of allergy and clinical immunology. Regional societies such as ours provide practicing allergists and members of the community with a conduit to voice concerns and needs to national organizations, such as the AAAAI. The society serves as a voice to impart policy change at the local and national level, as it relates to our specialty. Very importantly, the society also serves to foster relationships and interactions within the local community of providers as well as to educate its members through regular programs on up-to-date, evidence-based medicine in the field of allergy and clinical immunology.
